Abbas Milani

Abbas Milani, Ph.D., (born 1949) is an Iranian-American historian, Iranologist, and author. Milani is the Director of Hamid & Christina Moghadam Program in Iranian Studies at Stanford University. He is also a Research Fellow and Co-Director of the Iran Democracy Project at the Hoover Institution, and is an active speaker and writer about Iranian politics and sociology. Dr. Milani has found evidence that Persian modernism dates back to more than 1000 years ago.
