Biography

K-von "Kevan Moezzi" (born 1981)is an Iranian-American comedian. His father is Persian-Muslim and his mother is American and Presbyterian. k-von grew up in Nevada and upon graduating college decided to pursue a career in comedy and entertainment. Today he is regarded as one of the popular and sought after stand up comedians and performers.

k-von has quickly catapulted onto the scene, dazzling crowds in comedy clubs and colleges across the nation. Recent TV appearances include SHOWTIME's "Comics w/out Borders" with Russell Peters, Bill Bellamy's "Who's Got Jokes", the "Style Network", and "Good Morning America". k-von also made his debut as the lead actor in the feature film "The Gingerdead Man 2". He plays the role of Kelvin Cheatham in this spoof on horror films where he is a target for murder and hilariously fights for his survival.

When he's not touring with national headliners he is hosting his weekly Saturday night show at the world famous 'Laugh Factory'. He is also a regular guest at "Sultans of Satire" Middle East comic relief and comedy show.

k-von's standup material touches on everything from being raised in a Las Vegas based multi-cultural family to some of his more absurd observations regarding the perils of internet dating. A comic who is prepared to perform in any venue and often works with children in the audience, k-von makes an extra effort to keep his comedy clean with a little edge to it. With that said, k-von can't wait to make you laugh!

k-von was on the UPN reality show "Amish in the City" as one of the non-Amish. He has been in The Style Network's "Hot Guys Who Cook." that was about loosing weight. He is accompanying Maz Jobrani (formerly with Axis of Evil) on his national tour in early 2009.

In addition to comedy, k-von is a professional swimming coach. Kevan Moezzi started swimming competitively in 1986 at the age of 5 in Nevada. Under the guidance of collegiate level coaches he quickly excelled and in 1991 was recognized nationally for his swimming technique of the butterfly, backstroke, breastroke, and freestyle. With qualifying times that ranked him among the quickest in the West Coast, he competed in the Junior Olympics at the age of 12 and continued as a state champion-level swimmer while in high school. Today, Kevan Moezzi is a trainer at 24 Hour Fitness, an instructor for The Swim Planet, still competes in triathlons, participates in a running club in Southern California, and surfs whenever he gets the chance.
