Maryam Jalali
Iranian-born female vocalist, Maryam Jalali released her first album "Shaghayegh" on Caltex Records in 1992, which included classics such as "Niaz." In 2001 Maryam performed alongside lifelong friend Bijan Mortazavi on "Faryad" a song released on Mortazavi's 2001 album "Voice of Silence." Maryam's second album "New Beginning" was released under Rumi Records in 2004.
Her third album "WITH LOVE" was released in 2008 under Rumi Records. This album features all new songs, and was created by the songwriting team of her son, Amir Reza Khostavan, and her husband, Majid Khostavan. In addition, there are two instrumental songs from the master of piano, Amir Reza Khostavan. The song "Bacheh Mahala" was written by Maryam Jalali herself and is dedicated to her childhood friends in Iran. Many of the albums lyrics, included that of the album title, "With Love," is written by long time friend and famous Iranian poet Masoud Sepand.
