Farzin Darabi Far
Farzin Darabi Far (born in Tehran, 1969) is an Iranian composer and Tar player. He started his career in music in 1987 and he has eagerly taken lessons with the great masters of Persian music like Majid Derakhshani, Hamid Motebassem, Mohammad Reza Lotfi and Rahmatollah Badiyi. Farzin Darabi Far has performed on many stages in Germany, Netherlands, Austria, France, Spain and Luxembourg.

Farzin Darabi Far grew up in a musically-inclined family. He left Tehran for Germany at 17, where a year later started self-instructions to play the instrument "Setar". After three years, he started playing his second instrument "Tar" on which today he is considered a Master.
Musical Career
- 1995: Founded the Zaratustra ensemble with the program West-eastern improvisation, a mix of jazz and Persian music.
- 2001: Member of the Badiyi ensemble under the leadership of master Badiyi
- 2002: Member of the Tschakawak ensemble
- 2005: Founded the Hamnava ensemble
- 2007: Founded the Rumi ensemble
