Kamran & Hooman
Kamran Jafari (born November 25, 1978 in Tehran,Iran) and Hooman Jafari (born November 23, 1980 in Tehran,Iran) are two Iranian-Canadian brothers and singers residing and working in Woodland Hills,USA.
They grew up in Montreal and Vancouver,Canada. Hooman participated in many talent shows in Canada and has also modeled at different fashion shows. Kamran first started in the group "Parvaz", which included Kamran, Hengameh, and Fereydoon. They released one album and had a hit song with "Iran, Iran" with the help of Ramin Zamani. In 1998, they joined Shahbal Shabpareh's famous pop group Black Cats as lead singers . Black cats released two albums "Cinderalla" in 1999 and "The Pop Father" with Kamran & Hooman as vocalists. Less than a year after "The Pop Father" album, Kamran & Hooman decided to leave Black Cats and start their own careers. So far, they've released one album 20, which was released in 2003. It was produced by Ramin Zamani and had lyrics from renowned Iranian poet Maryam Heydarzadeh.
In 2008, after a controversial interview targeted for the Canadian and American markets, they conducted several follow up interviews with the Iranian media to explain the controversy and apologize to their Iranian fans.
