Lian Ensemble
Lian Ensemble, a Persian classical music ensemble based in Los Angeles, was established in 1997 by Pirayeh Pourafar, Houman Pourmehdi and Mahshid Mirzadeh. Their music fuses the mystical Persian musical heritage with the contemporary sensibilities of Contemporary Jazz. Other members of the ensemble are Khosro Ansari (Vocalist), Randy Gloss (Percussionist), Mani Bolouri (Kamancheh, Gheychak, Composer), Brahim Fribgane (Oud,Composer).
