Manijeh Nasrabadi

Manijeh Nasrabadi is a prolific Iranian-American writer and the co-director of the Association of Iranian-American Writers, a growing professional network that promotes both established and emerging voices. She received her MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Hunter College. Her essay Before I Knew Him won the City University of New York Arts Gala Memoir Prize in 2005. She was a Hertog Fellow that same year and a 2008 recipient of a Hedgebrook writing residency. Souvenir - her essay on the challenges of seeing the self clearly - appears in About Face, published by Seal Press in June 2008. Nasrabadi teaches creative writing at Hunter College.
