Biography

Born 1956, Nooshafarin Abdi (original name Fatemeh) is a popular Iranian pop singer and former actress (Nooshafarin means "creator of joy" in Persian). She was married to Iranian actor Saeed Rad, but later separated from him and according to herself "found her peace" in India and later in the United States. She lives in California, yet unlike some of her contemporary female pop singers like Leila Forouhar and Shohreh Solati has fewer concerts and public appearances. According to herself, she prefers "staying out of the spotlight."
